the hotel's location proved very useful as it was close to transportation hubs. i found the room to be clean. the staff was indeed helpful and polite .
the room was smaller than i expected. i would have liked more space.

The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. Despite my request for a non-smoking room. It was a real turnoff. Then there was the noise. I could hear every word spoken in the hallway and in adjacent rooms, so sleep was elusive. To make matters worse, the shower was tiny, and the water pressure fluctuated wildly. It was difficult to get a consistent temperature

the hotel is just a few blocks from gare du nord and gare de l'est. the beds are firm and quite clean. the staff were super friendly and helpful ensuring i felt welcomed and secure.
I can hear people in the rooms next door. There is no soundproofing, unpleasant i found the noise very disturbing throughout my stay with sounds transferring between rooms.
